Who we are
This site and the services described on it are operated by Spot Studio, 1548 Collins Ave, Richmond Heights, MO 63117, United States.
For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, email hello@getspotstudio.com.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, business name, email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your project, whether through a form on this site, by booking a call, or by replying to us.
- Correspondence: the content of emails and text messages between us, so we can keep track of a conversation and pick it up where it left off.
- Usage and device data collected by analytics, so we can see which pages people read and where visitors come from.
- Payment details when you pay us. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We text people who have contacted us first: someone who submits a form on this site, books a call, replies to us, or is an existing client with work in progress. We use text messages to answer questions, arrange calls and site visits, and keep a project moving.
Your phone number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for their own marketing. We share a number with a service provider only where it is needed to actually deliver the message or support you, and those providers may not use it for anything else.
Message frequency varies with the conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop us replying by email if you contact us that way. Full messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.
How we use your information
To reply to inquiries, prepare and send proposals, deliver the work, arrange and confirm calls, take payment, understand which marketing brings people to us, and keep the site secure and free of spam submissions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies that are necessary to make the site work, and Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the business, each handling data only on our instructions and under their own privacy terms:
- Twilio, to send and receive text messages
- Resend, to send email
- Cal.com, to schedule calls
- Supabase, to host our database
- Railway, to host this website
- Cloudflare, for DNS and protection against automated abuse
- Google Analytics, to measure site usage
- Stripe, to process card payments when you pay us
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months, in case you come back to us. Client records, including contracts and invoices, are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymize them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. Email hello@getspotstudio.com and we will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to opt out of sale or sharing. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any right.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use text messaging will be reflected here before they take effect.
